I have served on the Puketāpapa Local Board since 2010, as Chair from 2013 – 2016 and as Deputy Chair since then.
On the Board this term I have focused on parks, planning and heritage and ensuring Roskill has a strong voice in council decision-making.
I am a passionate advocate for education and a child-friendly Mt Roskill. I believe in strong local democracy that gives a real voice to local people. To that end I’ve supported a living wage for our families and advocated for quality affordable and social housing developments.
I have also pushed for new ways our community can have a say such as Children’s Panels in local schools and a monthly community forum.
I’ve worked on making sure our parks and playgrounds get the upgrades they need, and that the community has a say in the future of our open spaces.
Please support me and the whole Roskill Community Voice team for Puketāpapa Local Board.
