Julie was re-elected to the Puketapapa Local Board in October 2016 and now serves as Deputy Chair as well as chairing the Green cluster. Her work programme lead areas are Parks, Sport & Rec and Planning & Heritage.
I have served on the Puketāpapa Local Board since 2010, as Chair since 2013, and seek your support again.
On the Board this term I have focused on local economic development, children’s issues and ensuring Roskill has a strong voice in council decision-making.
I am a passionate advocate for education and a child-friendly Mt Roskill. I believe in strong local democracy that gives a real voice to local people. To that end I’ve supported a living wage for our families and advocated for quality affordable housing developments.
I have also pushed for new ways our community can have a say such as Children’s Panels in local schools.
I’ve secured resources to improve Mt Roskill’s town centre over the next two years and led adoption of the first Local Economic Development Plan for our area.
Please support me and the whole Roskill Community Voice team for Puketāpapa Local Board.
